Burdened by insomnia and a mind that won’t stop spinning Ryan Chalke spends many sleepless nights pouring words onto paper and creating catchy riffs at a feverish pace. Lee Merrick comes along and de-codes the jumbled mass of verbiage matches it up with a riff and creates a melody. All of this happens organically every Friday night at NAL studios in North Van. The Sleeves combine haunting rock inspired melodies with hard hitting hip-hop lyrics. Usually a full 5 member band The Sleeves are gonna strip it down to a trio for Creativity Heals.
